Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has cautioned Nigerians about a manipulated video circulating online that falsely shows her endorsing an investment scheme.

The Kogi Central lawmaker said the viral clip was fabricated by fraudsters who altered footage from a previous interview she granted to television journalist Seun Okinbaloye.

In a statement released on Sunday via her official social media page, Akpoti-Uduaghan stressed that the video, although appearing to carry her voice and image, was entirely fake and intended to deceive the public.

“It has come to my attention that unscrupulous individuals have doctored and manipulated my interview with Seun Okinbaloye to promote a fraudulent investment scheme,” she said, urging Nigerians not to fall for the scam.

The senator advised the public to ignore the clip and avoid any investment opportunity linked to it. She also encouraged people to report accounts or platforms sharing the video to help stop further spread.

Akpoti-Uduaghan further called on authorities and social media platforms to take action against those responsible for the fraudulent content, warning citizens to remain cautious of online schemes promising quick financial gains.
